About Us
Rotary, the world's first and most international service club was founded in 1905 by Paul Harris. In 1922 Rotary became Rotary International, with clubs in every continent.
Rotary is an organization of nearly 1.2 million business and professional men and women united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. They give life to the Rotary motto, Service Above Self.
Club Service
Club Service addresses those responsibilities that each member undertakes for the well-being of the club. These inlcude satisfying attendance requirements, serving on club committees, promoting fellowship and seeking out new candidates to propose for membership.
Community Service
Community service, sometimes called the heartbeat of Rotary, encompasses all the activities that Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life for all people within the club's territory.
Vocational Service
Rotary clubs carry out Vocational Service projects designed to increase employment opportunities in the community, promote a fair workplace environment and raise awareness and appreciation of all useful occupations.
International Service
Through International Service, Rotarians work to develop and maintain friendly, peaceful relations in a troubled world.
Rotary has joined with international health organizations in a global effort to eradicate polio from the earth.
